The shock absorber is one of the important parts of the car’s support system, and in order to keep the car balanced, it provides a comfortable and safe ride for the driver and passenger.

Shock absorbers are divided into liquid and gas based on their working type. Liquid shock absorbers use viscous oil, while gas shock absorbers use a combination of gas and viscous oil.

Shock absorbers are divided into two categories according to the type of operation:

• A single acting shock absorber is weak in contraction and has high resistance or stiffness in extension.
• Bidirectional shock absorbers work with high resistance during contraction and expansion.

Deterioration of the shock absorber can cause rough obstacles to be sensed, making the ride uncomfortable and dangerous, and adversely affecting other supporting parts.

COOLANT

Antifreeze coolant prevents parts from overheating. During the operation of the car engine, a lot of heat is generated in engine. In order to create normal working conditions of the engine, it is necessary to cool it. The cooling system can remove 25-30% of the total fuel combustion heat in the engine.

Drive the specified km and change the coolant. If the coolant is not replaced for a long time, it loses its ability to prevent corrosion and not react and oxidize, and causes scale, scum, and dirt on the outer walls of the cooling system and the engine cylinder, and the heat transfer between the combustion chamber and the coolant begins to be poor.

POWER STEERING FLUID

Power steering fluid is used to transmit energy in technical hydraulic systems. Power steering fluid should have excellent lubricating properties, slow drying and good lubricity.

If your steering wheel is a bit stiff or makes a strange noise when you turn the steering wheel, it is time to replace it.

The cabin air filter is designed to protect the invisible dust from entering the car cabin, such as air pollution, dust and plant dust and has an important role in creating a healthy and comfortable driving environment for the driver and passengers.

Features of a good quality cabin air filter:

• To reduce strong odors, reduce air pollution entering the salon, and filter out toxic gases (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, etc.), charcoal was added to the mixture.
• The carbon layer improves the filtration of invisible dust (soot, plant dust).
• By changing the cabin air filter in time, you can prevent the bad aspects of the heater and air conditioner from blowing poorly, unpleasant odors, and the windows from getting dirty in the winter.

Engine air filter

In order for the car engine to run reliably, the engine needs fresh air. The engine air filter is a part designed to keep the engine clean by filtering a large number of invisible dust and particles from entering the engine.

Features of a good quality air filter:

• With the help of a filter, the air filter filters dirt, dust and other types of pollution very well.
• Using a good quality air filter and changing it every 5,000km will extend the life of the engine.

A spark plug is a simple piece of metal and porcelain in design, but it is a very important part of an engine’s operation. The main function of the spark plug is to throw a spark to detonate the air-fuel mixture at a temperature of 2000-2500 degrees Celsius, receive a high voltage of 20,000-30,000 volts, withstand a pressure of 50 kg/cm2, and work under the conditions of chemical corrosion caused by the impact of fuel and exhaust gases. The energy from this combustion turns the engine and makes the car move. Depending on the engine capacity of the car, there are four to eight spark plugs.

Guaranteed spark plugs have the following advantages:

• Smooth and quickly starts
• Spark plugs allow for quick ignition, smooth acceleration, and full fuel consumption
• Protection from tear of other electrical devices

Because high currents pass through the spark plug, a damaged or poor quality spark plug is at risk of causing other electrical components to fail. Guaranteed spark plugs are made with features that prevent damage to other electrical components.

Double platinum spark plug:

• It has platinum electrodes on the ground and tip to reduce wear and is rated to last up to 100,000km.
• Due to the nickel and iridium content, it is stronger and lasts longer, and the alloy is less prone to cracking.

Iridium spark plug:

• A smaller core electrode has better sparking capability.
• Iridium is better quality material than platinum. Its melting point is about 1200°F (648°C) higher than that of platinum.

Iridium spark plugs have the advantage of lasting longer than regular spark plugs.

When the car starts, and accelerates, the engine is running at very high speeds, so the engine oil performs functions such as lubrication, cooling, cleaning, and protection of the engine from erosion. It separates soot and other waste generated during the operation of the engine from oil, regulates the need for oil with a certain pressure required by the engine, filters particles that may damage the engine and consists of inlet and outlet valves.

Features of using a good quality oil filter:

• Spread the oil fluently
• Protection against erosion, long life of the engine
• Maximum filtration of dirt

Imitation and improper use of wipers can damage the engine, which is the core of the car, and shorten its lifespan.

Gearbox oil lubricates the gear discs and ensures their reliable operation, allowing for quiet and smooth gear shifting. Depending on the road conditions, the car needs the right amount of traction, and the crop regulates the torque through the gears. At low speeds, heavy gears are required, and as speed increases, it shifts to lighter gears.

There are 2 types of car gearbox: “Mechanical” and “Automatic”

• With a mechanical crop, the gears are shifted through the console. When starting to move, engage first gear and then shift to light gear.
• Auto crop will do all the work for you, such as pedaling and changing gears. All you have to do is look at the road and drive. Through a variety of sensors, solenoid valves, hydraulic power and computer control, the gear is engaged and shifted according to the road conditions and the car’s speed.

Different types of oil are used for these 2 types of gearboxes.

Engine oil is responsible for lubricating engine mechanisms and preventing engine energy loss, heat loss, wear and tear, and overheating.

The instructions issued by the manufacturer of the car indicate what type of oil to use. Cars use different types of oil depending on the engine design and motor capacity.

Viscosity is an indicator of the quality of internal friction between the surfaces of oil molecules. This quality decreases as the temperature increases and increases as the temperature decreases. If the viscosity is too low at high temperatures, the strength of the oil film on the friction surfaces in the lubrication system and the pressure in the system will not reach the required level. But in winter, if the viscosity of the oil is too high, the engine cannot be started because the starter cannot turn the crankshaft, and if it is started, there will be a lack of oil in the first few minutes, and the oil will not go through the lubrication system. In accordance with the above conditions, the quality of engine oil:

• Winter oil

Its low viscosity makes it easy to start when cold.

• Summer oil 

Due to its high viscosity, it reliably lubricates the engine at high temperatures.

• Four season oil

It refers to the oil with winter-like viscosity at low temperatures and summer-like properties at high temperatures. It is characterized by creating a quality that does not freeze in the cold and does not become too liquid in the heat due to the addition of special additives.

In Mongolia’s harsh climate, all-season oil is not suitable, and it is better to change the oil for that season in time.

Guaranteed engine oil has the following main advantages:

• When the engine is running, the parts rub against each other. The oil forms an oil film on the parts and prevents dry friction
• Prevents overheating by absorbing heat from engine operation
• Acts as an insulator between the piston and the cylinder wall
• Prevent corrosion
• It is responsible for cleaning the dirt that is generated in the engine

The brake fluid in the car transmits the pressure that occurs when you step on the brake pedal to the brake pads. In other words, because the brake fluid has a non-shrinkable property, it is used in the braking system to generate pressure using this property. Brake fluid is designed to withstand temperature changes.

Features of guaranteed brake fluid:

• Corrosion and life of rubber parts will be extended
• Oily
• Can withstand overheating and freezing

Official brake fluid works reliably when driving, and low-quality brake fluid does not meet the standards and can reduce the braking ability of the car and cause accidents.

A belt is a flexible rubber material that mechanically connects two or more rotating shafts. The belt located at the front of the motor, which ensures smooth operation of the engine and keeps all rotations at the same time, is called the front belt.

Fake belts are the same length as the warranty belts, but are made of different materials, stretch over time, cause the engine to fail, waste more gasoline, and even more so lead to the risk of breaking the engine.

A cracked or torn belt can break without indicating an error on the control panel and cause major damage to the engine. That’s why it’s important to have your car serviced regularly and replace worn out belts with new warranty belts.
