DESCRIPTION

ProMatrix 90 is a new generation superplasticiser for concrete. It contains polycarboxylate ether polymers and is specially formulated for ready-mix concrete where slump retention, high strength and durability are required in hot climates. The excellent dispersion effect makes ProMatrix 90 the ideal admixture for the ready-mix concrete industry. The ability to work with low water /cement ratios and still obtain extended slump retention allows for the manufacture of high quality concrete. ProMatrix 90 is free of chloride and complies with MNS ASTM C 494/C 494 M, and is also compatible with all cements meeting recognised international standards.

Dispensing

ProMatrix 90 is a ready-to-use admixture to be added to the concrete mix as a separate component. Optimal mixing water reduction is obtained if ProMatrix 90 is poured into the concrete mix right after the addition of the mixing water. Avoid adding the admixture to the dry aggregates. A separate dispenser and feed line must be used.

Dosage:

Dosage of ProMatrix 90 depends on the mix design, ambient conditions and degree of water reduction and workability required. ProMatrix 90 is dispensed at a rate of 1.0%-2.0% of cementitious material. Other dosages may also be used depending on the specific working conditions. Trial mixes should be made with job materials to determine the optimum dosage required for a specified job requirement.

Packaging:

ProMatrix 90 is available in 900KG IBCs or by bulk delivery.

Shelf life:

ProMatrix 90 can be stored for 12 months if stored at a temperature above 5ºC and in tightly sealed original containers. If frozen, thaw it and completely reconstitute by mild agitation. Do not use compressed air.

MasterGlenium SKY 8588 is free of chloride and has been formulated to comply with the requirements of ASTM C 494 for Type A and F admixtures, It is compatible with all cements meeting recognized international standards

Chemistry and Mechanism of action

The sulphonic groups of the polymer chains increase the negative charge on the surface of the cement particle and dispersion of the lateral chains, linked to the polymer backbone, generate a steric hindrance that stabilizes the cement particles capacity to separate and disperse, This mechanism provides flowable concrete with greatly reduced water demand.

DOSAGE

Dosage of MasterGlenium SKY 8588 depends on the mix design, ambient conditions and degree of water reduction and workability required. Typical dosage is 1000 ml/100kg of cementitious material. Other dosages with a range of 800 to 2000ml/1 00kg of cementitious material may be recommended in special cases according to specific job site conditions. Trial concrete mixes must be carried out to determine the appropriate dosage.

PACKAGING

MasterGlenium SKY 8588 is available in 1000 kg drums or bulk delivery.

SHELF LIFE

MasterGlenium SKY 8588 can be stored for 6 months if kept as recommended in the unopened original packaging at temperatures above O°C. If frozen, thaw it and completely reconstitute by mild agitation. Do not use compressed air. Other admixtures, rain water, or any contamination must not penetrate into a container of MasterGlenium Sky 8588 during storage

MasterRoc SA167 is a high performance alkali-free set accelerator designed for use in the wet and dry mix spraying process.  MasterRoc SA167 is a liquid additive whose dosage can be varied to the desired setting and hardening times.

Recommended uses:

MasterRoc SA167 is suitable for all applications where high early strength, high final strength, extremely large layer thickness in a single application and high slump (>200mm) are required:

• For temporary and final rock support linings
• In tunnels
• In mining
• Embankment stabilization

Estimating data: 

The dosage of MasterRoc SA16 7depends on the temperature of concrete, air and substrate. Another important factor influencing the dosage, is the reactivity of the cement used. Depending on required setting time and early strength requirements, the consumption of MasterRoc SA167 normally ranges between 3-10% of the binder weight. Overdosing (>10%) may result in decreased final strength.

MasterRoc SA167 is available in 1400 KG IBCs and bulk.

Storage/shelf life:

• MasterRoc SA 167 must be stored at minimum +5°C and maximum +35°C (optimum temperature for storage and performance +20°C). Must be kept in closed containers made of plastic, glass fibre or stainless steel.
• MasterRoc SA 167 must not be stored in normal steel containers as the pH can cause corrosion that might affect the performance of the product.
• After the prolonged storage we recommend that MasterRoc SA 167 be always fully agitated prior to use by mechanical stirring or re-circulation pumping. Agitation by compressed air is not advised.
• If stored in tightly closed original containers under the above given conditions, MasterRoc SA 167 has a shelf life of 3 months. Periodical remixing can extend the shelf life up to 6 or more months.

The excellent dispersion effect makes MasterGlenium® SKY8402 the ideal admixture for the ready-mix concrete industry. The ability to work with low water /cement ratios and still obtain extended slump retention allows for the manufacture of high quality concrete. MasterGlenium® SKY8402  is free of chloride and complies with MNS ASTM C 494/C 494 M, and is also compatible with all cements meeting recognised international standards.

MasterGlenium® SKY8402 is differentiated from conventional superplasticisers in that it is based on a unique polycarboxylate ether polymer with long lateral chains. This greatly improves cement dispersion. At the start of the mixing process the same electrostatic dispersion occurs as described previously, but the presence of the lateral chains, linked to the polymer backbone, generates a steric hindrance which stabilises the cement particles capacity to separate and disperse.

This mechanism provides flowable concrete with greatly reduced water demand.

MasterGlenium® SKY8402 is dispensed at a rate of 800ml to 2,000ml per 100 kg of cementitious material. Other dosages may also be used depending on the specific working conditions.
